Recently we had a sub realm created in the Fading Isles. I had expected that after a turn ran a new conversation topic for the realm would have been created but this does not seem to be the case. Are sub realms supposed to have their own special realm topic?

Since one of my new knights requested a way to chat that didn't rely on the in game system so they could quickly learn the basics of the game, I looked into a IRC channel. Seems we have one on the quakenet.org servers, #mightandfealty. If I am on line I will be in this channel and doing what I can to help new players learn the system.

Currently I have made a heraldry that I wish for all direct vassals to use. This is easy while such vassals are my own characters, but as other players join I thought it would be nice to have a way for them to make use of the heraldry without them having to go and replicate the design.

In the last hour I have lost the ability for my Lords to control their settlements. They are still listed as being their estates on the status page, but when I go to the actions page all the actions either say I do not control the settlement, or do not have the permission of the owner.

When creating a character that will start out dead, if you don't fill in the background info during character creation you cannot do so at a later date. The creation process however tells you that you can skip this and come back to it later.

I'm clicking a location just inside the coast line. I've tried on the coast line and in the sea as well.

Helpline / Massive Metal in a grassland

This is not something I've experienced before, however the grassland settlement that I control has quite substantial metal production. Currently without boosting it is around 600. Is this perhaps due to being a grassland at the foot of a mountain range? Or just a happy random occurrence.

Testing out the Heraldry system, there appears to be a problem with the Draconian shield, at least on chrome. The shield always shows up as pure black. Charges work, though some of them extend past the border of the shield, but base colours and patterns do not.

In the south of alpha there was one realm that had 7 nobles in every region set to defence while completely ignoring militia. Now this was a significant dedication in terms of noble numbers, but would have worked with just a single noble in every region as well. They did this for one reason, currently militia require food upkeep, troops commanded by a noble do not. Thus large militia defence significantly reduce the population capacity of a region, while you can get the exact same defence capability for no food cost by dedicating a noble to defence (assuming Tom gets the code in place to prevent you targeting nobles behind walls to deprive them the advantage of walls). As many players leave their Lord/Lady characters in region at all times, this makes militia largely a waste of time.


Are there plans to make noble commanded troops require a food upkeep?
