Quite a bit further north, in and around the mountains.

And I'm all out of characters. Peran is up to her usual shenanigans, her virtually unknown sister Thera is busy making the world a smaller place, Rascarl is trying to found a Blood, and I have another character I just play for shenanigans also trying to shrink the world.

The Black Road originally went extinct in a combination of a neat RP plotline and me getting sick of the variously bugged and incomplete states of the game. We'll see how it does this time.

You can't really see the soldiers helmet/head, which makes it confusing, I think, as to what you're actually looking at. Any chance you can move the "The Game.." bit down?

Also, if at all possible, find an image format that is below 150kb. It means I won't have to convert it for use.

Nicely designed banner. If the drawing was not so ugly it would be perfect.

I really liked the underscored Politics and Warfare though. Was a way better looking font and drew attention to the two most important words in the ad.

Not done (provide!) and done.

I love Roran's sketchy style, but I agree that this format doesn't flatter it in the slightest.



Sorry about the delay on doing things, particularly Andrew's thing, which took me about two minutes, I managed to damage the image in a way that didn't show up in PNG but does show up in JPG, and I needed my tablet to repair it properly (it is actually still detectable).

Well the last bandit I played believed in the Hooded God and thus used the tenants of the Black Road as an excuse to conduct his actions.  It was fun to play with! :D

I missed this, but I'm glad you decided to do that!



It's been a while, but the Gyre Blood is back. In an attempt to get some kind of life back into the game, there's a "go! Fly! Be free!" lordship offer up in one place, and I'll be pretty much seeding a significant area with that kind of thing.

There's a bug where you can edit the description after their death. Sometimes it gets used quite well and tastefully, other times less so.

There are too many different fonts there, they distract from the message.

Good point.

Also the fonts are too light, when the banner is scrolled smaller it won't be legible.

I'm back, as one of the founding members of the Children of Armok and in fact the ruler for some time. I ain't some scrub fresh off the strets. :p

It should be noted that the Children and the Tors have had close ties going back a long time, to the opening of the West. The soldiers aren't coming out of nowhere - that's the Lowlanders being excited about an excuse to bash skulls. :p It's a bit of a drawback of the current state that it's easy for any conflict anywhere to be taken as an excuse for allies to pile on.

I would not say it is every soul from bay12 for only a fairly small amount of the bay12 community seems to have commented on the thread of this game.(Of course that one thread about this game does seem to be more active then this entire forum but that is beside the point) and I will admit I did not have any high hopes of this war going in our favor since the beginning.

Fret not, this is a long, long, way from being every soul on B12. The thread just seems active because it has little flurries when exciting things happen. As a matter of fact, I'd say we have... about five B12ers in the CoA? And two of those are AFAIK only active in Asitet. The thread is a little confusing because it has folks like SaintofWar (better known as Weaver) and wereboar, who are slightly active elsewhere on B12 but actually are mostly there for the M&F thread. And Andrew, who's literally just there for the M&F thread.

Asitet Anoth is a fairly standard type of feudal setup. It's probably a bit more like a parliamentary monarchy than anything else, though, since the ruler is expected to listen to input from everyone else.

The Bloods of the Black Road were a bit more interesting, being in principle similar to the Lowlands Confederation, except that the Thane of Thanes had more-or-less dictatorial powers if they felt like using them. By and large, the goal was to have essentially a group of independent kingdoms doing whatever, some degree of infighting tolerated, except with the looming figure of the Thane of Thanes and the Inkallim, both forces with massive political sway intended to balance each other out.

The Inkallim were intended to be dedicated to guaranteeing the interests of the Black Road as a creed, and the Thane of Thanes was intended to be dedicated to guaranteeing the interests of the Bloods as a political unit.

The reason this is a little spicier than a regular monarchy is that which Thane is the Thane of Thanes is expected to be an occasionally disputed matter, with any given Blood being able to take the title as long as they have the diplomatic or military clout. Either one could be obtained by persuading the Inkallim that the current ToT wasn't acting in the Road's best interests.
