Stories to tell / All too familiar

Nevara sighed "How long has it been since yesterday? 10, no 13 years? At least the Empire is still here. Is anyone I know still here? Martyn himself slumbered.. I wonder where he slumbers" he said to himself more so than to the second one riding besides him through the forest. It would take at least seven days before he would be where he needed to be, well a bit longer still after that. He took a map in hand while his horse trots along "In truth, the map has both changed significantly and very little. Hawks has certainly made progress from the looks of it as has Ascalon." he laughs a little as a thought that pops into his head 'Perhaps we're not that far from where we were When I became a lord under Martyn.'

Suddenly his facial expression froze for a moment before he ordered the train to halt "We're taking a ten minute rest" he said to the small group of men behind him. he took out paper, ink and quil and started to write a letter. Send it off with a lendan stone. 'Might be worth a try.. Or it might not' He thought. He looked around, most of the men had reassembled as almost 10 minutes had passed, he mounted his horse and went off again. As they departed the image of a woman with large blue eyes and auburn hair wearing riding clothes pops into his mind invoking a small smile 'I wonder if she is still alive and free from slumber'. He looked forward along the dirt road, wondering where this path would lead him. A flower of hope and fear both blossoming alongside each-other.

Well yeah the Empress might be an integral part of the void but last I recall we basically disowned her and it is not something really participated in beyond talking so that is fine also if you want to abduct her or something of the like then that is fine but I was more against you setting up a voidrealm in Arrekesh.

Also sure, if I am allowed to deal with it as any other realm than sure I don't mind it but don't expect me not to then.

Please don't do that, not all of us want to be involved with your Void stuff.

I do second that but with respect to the Arrakesh part, I really don't want to be involved with the void beyond hearing and talking.

I also received it once and for me they neither returned to me nor the settlement where the troops were from.

I'm quite disappointed it didn't end up in a massive split instead of what it now is. if Teri had been more diplomatic then he might have gotten me on board quite easily, I even planned on not doing much as so many people jumped on it immediately but alas, my character's husband pulled her into the conflict.

We are at war and one duke switched sides.

Without threading it would be worse in my opinion, I wouldn't be able to follow a lot of conversations as multiple conversations can find place in one message topic. perhaps an option to expand all and expand all children messages?

but this way both OOC and IC opinions get mixed, An "evil" character that plays good RP wise gets a lot of IC negative reputation and so might be seen as an OOC player by those who do not know him. If there was a fourth option besides respectful, honourable and trustworthy for the sake of OOC behaviour then that would help this I think.

No, its an RP event in Ryne itself.

You can leave a message for the owner of the settlement.

Someone should tell him at least one of them is not so trusty!  ;)

I think I may need to pay more attention, as I have no clue who it would be.

Wasn't it English doctrine to use the horses to get into position and dismount when they are ready to fire(or prepare for battle incase of non archers)? that would mean that it doesn't take longer to train and in fact it would be easier as you don't have to learn how to use a horse in battle but only how to ride a horse normally.

Yes but I don't think that at the moment that it would be possible within Arrakesh to distribute it properly.

In general I would be completely against killer rights causing direct inheritance of estates as  it does not make sense in a lot of realms and in fact at all: I just killed one of the enemy dukes and now I have a bunch of land very far away. Although it might be a nice option that could be set for realms themselves instead of being automatically active globally, if one of the members kills another member of the realm then he inherits the land of the killed noble.
