Norton Rating
« on: December 28, 2013, 11:39:51 PM »
Just something I noticed when I threw in the website into Google... the Mightandfealty.com domain isn't a trusted website. It's pretty easy to become trusted though. The below link has the Norton website report, and there's a link for the website owner to go through the process of becoming trusted. I think it just requires the owner to post a small image temporarily on their page to verify ownership and probably some other random details. Might be useful to getting more traffic to the website.

To make a real impact Tom would need to do this for several different systems. The Norton system for instance will only work for those running Nortan Security products.

There is of course a ton of AV software out there. From my experience of knowing someone that went through the norton process, it seemed fairly quick and easy. Obviously there's a lot out there, I just wanted to post the link to doing so for one of those. Have to start somewhere.

Better response:

Thank you for the idea, I hadn't thought of it before. After a quick bit of research, I don't think it is worth the effort. As Might & Fealty runs on its own domain, Internet standard tools can quickly and easily validate it, e.g. the "whois" tool (also available web-based).

I don't think Norton adding its own proprietary database is something I want to support.
