Terra Vigila Rulership
« on: February 22, 2017, 11:30:34 PM »
Hey so here is what happened I was the ruler of Terra Vigila as until I went into slumber which resulted it to be inherineted by Ameria Seastrong. But Ameria Seastrong is in slumber  and in the profile of Terra Vigila it said that Ameria Seastrong died, so when that happened what I thought should of happened was that a election should have happened to declare a new ruler how I sort of became ruler, but it did not. So now that I am back I see that Terra Vigila has no ruler and with still 2 active members in it not including me. So my question is that is this what is suppose to happen? Is there anyway to become the ruler of Terra Vigila besides Ameria becoming Active again?

Nope, there is a long standing bug with auto generated rulership votes, the cause of which continues to elude us.

Hey thanks for responding so quickly I should of just looked more closely at the help board since the exact same problem was posted there. Anyways though at least it has been addressed.

In the interim, I'd like these to keep being reported.

Hm... I've a character named Mu in the area and it looks like a Connor Westlash is nearby. If I can be provided with a priest and someone (connor maybe) will let me swear an oath to them temporarily, I'll generate the election and update the database so the game treats it as a ruler election.

From there you can all vote on whoever and when the vote closes, the game should update the most popular to be the ruler.

That said, I will work on a couple ideas for fixing this this weekend. One would be actually fixing the code that is supposed to handle this to check for running elections for a position rather than having a timeout, and a second that would let a gamemaster force an election for a given position.

Quick update, I made some good progress on my machine towards fixing this problem (with a minor change it went from not seeing any elections needed to seeing SIXTY-TWO needed), but I need to confirm it against a more recent database before I say I've fixed it.

De-Legro, you've my thanks for your assistance.

Yeah for sure I will get that character to let you in so you can do the election.

Just give that character about 2.1 days in game to go back to Danojex and he will let you in.

How's it going with Mu?

We're taking in Terra Vigila and Xodor about rebooting elections again, Connor slumbered so I'll get that fixed up. I'll provide you with a stack of priests soon, could you reboot elections for Terra Vigila and Idraei while you're about it? You could do Xodor later on.

Where is Mu located?

Sorry, I went on a 3 week vacation back home and have been easing back into things. Terra Vigila has a ruler now, and Mu (and my others like her) can help elsewhere.

There is an old Duchy that I feel it shouldn't be going to waste. Is there any way you could assist in creating a new ruler election?

Is there actually anyone left active in that realm?
Is there a settlement in that area that is controlled by an active player?
Can someone supply one of my characters (Ryo) with a priest if they arrive?

Larry Lawlor is still active in Balwynward, and if you come to Kahitho I can sort out a priest for you.
