Pending Updates

While I'll keep the list here updated, it felt weird not having a topic you can talk about them in.

So... here is the list of things that have been added to the update pile:

  • Fixing a bug that can break conversations (sorry, no fix to broken conversations)
  • Fixing two exploits that can damage the game. -- Live.
  • Realm information is viewable without a character selected, or even logged into the game--so go show off your massive realm to your friends!
  • A link to the wiki will now exist in the game
  • Equipment stats have been updated to better match training times involved -- Live.
  • The pike looks like a pike -- Live.
  • The mace no longer looks like a pike -- Live
  • You will no longer be able to view economic security at a distance unless you are the owner.
  • The error you see when interacting with dungeons has been resolved. They'll present cleanly now.
  • The dungeons now know what language they should speak.
  • You can now link to publications in messages, or really anywhere, actually. You still have to be in a settlement that has them to read them though.
  • The Soldier Log will now default to descending date order.
  • The Soldier Log and all event logs (exception for the summary page) will now be sortable. This means you can sort by table entry for instance, to see all region losses grouped together, or all inheritances grouped together. It will also accepted avanced sorting (shift+clicks), like every other table-ish thing in the game.
  • The events list on the summary page is now sortable as well.
  • It is now possible to leave a settlement without setting movement.
Some of these, as indicated, are live on the current server. The rest will happen after the server move, at which point you can consider them to be live as well.

How about an option to abandon control of a province? It's easily done via a number of workaround such as spawning a fake char, taking control then killing them, or if there happens to be a slumbered lord in the town then you give them control, but these are all pretty "gamey" ways of achieving it.

Perhaps have the abandon claim option require it to use up a Herald (since Heralds are also required to announce claims). It'd be better for game lore if the lord who wanted to do it could just declare a province abandoned rather than having to infer that from the workarounds. Also, being able to say "this town is unclaimed" rather than having to pass them off to a dummy character would make it clearer which towns are fair game for new players/knights.

Great idea and great points

It is already on the list. It is actually required before a few other changes can be made.
